Bioinformatics Core (BI-Core) is designed to support and streamline multidisciplinary collaborative research in biomedical and health informatics. The purpose of the BI-Core facility is to build a core infrastructure and provide expertise necessary to assist and support INBRE researchers in the network to develop software and technology solutions for the biosciences and healthcare. The objectives are:
to provide faculty and students with advanced computational resources (both hardware and software), existing and emerging, to aid in the genomics and proteomics related high-throughput data analysis.
to expand and extend current research initiatives between INBRE units.
to promote the development of new research initiatives in bioinformatics
to develop and maintain a core of technically competent personnel to support and assist investigators using computational tools in data analysis, especially investigators in the area of genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics and health informatics.
